It was a 1970 340 Dart GT in 1978 that started it all. Sure we specialize in Tri fives, but everyone had that one moment when some car with an American V8 got you hooked. After 50 years of loving fast cars, 20 years in the hot rod business, we decided it was time to specialize and only cater to the 1955 - 1957 Chevy and the 1955 - 1959 Chevy pickup. 

A little history:

Mike Hawley - the founder and owner of Tri 5 Guys was always tinkering with cars. In 1999 he accepted a sales position with a shop that sold restoration parts for GM's. "Those guys taught me a lot about quality parts" said Hawley. "The restoration shops are very particular about fitment and only high quality parts would do". A few years later a guy by the name of Gary Heidt decided to bring Mike onboard "That's when I really learned" said Hawley. Rising up to sales and marketing manager during his tenure at the company. During those many years with the company Mike met many of the bigger players in the hot rod business and gained valuable experience.

 "Tri 5 Guys is going to be different"  according to Hawley. "Although we offer competitive pricing, our customer service will make the difference. You are not calling a huge warehouse, when you call us, the person answering the phone has many years of car building experience and car build awards". We will always try to help. After all there's someone building their dream car on the phone and all they want is good honest advice. They don't want to be sold, they want to know that what they ordered will fit and work. This is the premise of Tri 5 Guys.
